UNCUT STONES

This western New York based band creates a unique twist to contemporary Christian music. They incorporate modern technology to make their sound come alive. With just a drummer and a guitarist they are able to emulate an entire band with piano, strings, bass, drums, acoustic and electric guitars all live and without any backing tracks. You will hardly believe what you are hearing as everything is done right before your eyes.

They are a three piece band with a drummer, guitarist and a singer. Check out what these three are doing in the Christian music scene!

Uncut Stones is made from a husband (Dan) and wife (Melanie) along with their long time friend (Nate).they have lead worship throughout Western New York in churches, bars, and Christian events for over 20 years spreading the gospel through music.

Lately Uncut Stones has gone through changes in their band members and also their style of music. Switching from a Christian rock sound to a more recent and current Contemporary Christian sound.

You can hear songs from their Christian Rock album with previous members of Uncut Stones on the album called We Will Rise Up. Here you will find featured artists like Will McFarlane, Nathan Salter, and Aimee Sych to name a few.

Their music has been feature on WDCX during the Wednesday Worship segment with Neil Boron. They have played at Kingdom Bound at Darien Lake, and many churches throught the WNY area.

THINGS CHANGE

As with many people, many lives were changes after COVID. That’s when Dan and Melanie decided to change this from their rock’s roll style of Christian music and move into Contemporary Christian music. The goal was to provide a band that could both sound big and take up a smaller footprint at an event that a church might have. Their hope was to be able to provide Christian music to churches who had smaller buildings or to churches that didn’t have the means to afford an expensive worship team to play at their event.

To do all this they needed the right person to join them. It had to be someone that would be able to take on the challenge of playing multiple instruments on stage and someone willing to learn songs in a completely new way. They recruited long time friend Nate to join the band. It’s been an amazing journey so far and it’s just getting started. Check out what they are doing now and even join them on their journey too!
